A reference or recommendation is a letter of introduction a Tri Delta member provides to a collegiate chapter on behalf of a potential new member.
Please remember, membership selection is the privilege and responsibility of the collegiate chapter members. A reference or letter of recommendation does not guarantee an invitation to membership.
To write a reference, you need to be a member in good standing with the Fraternity, and that’s why we ask you to log in to tridelta.org to complete this process. Tri Delta now offers an online reference form that is emailed directly to the chapter’s reference chairman where the potential new member is going through recruitment. Or you can download a PDF copy of the reference form to either email or send a physical copy in the mail directly to the collegiate reference chair.
Reference practices vary greatly by chapter and specific questions can be answered by an alumnae reference chairman in the university's area or by the collegiate chapter reference chairman. A full list of these members can be found when logged into My Tri Delta under tridelta.org/resources.
Use the Find a Chapter feature to find the collegiate chapter reference address.
